All
rain screen and curtainwall designs that curently use conventional
aluminium or composite sheet require little or no change when using
Miralwall. For example, the traditional cassette or "tray"
design can take advantage of Mirawall's peculiarities
In
Comparision with the composite sheets, Mirawall needs neither milling
on the back nor corner riveting, so that panel fabrication costs
are slashed.
In
consideration of the important role played by the casette design,
Otefal has produced the "Mirasystem A" Handbook, where
all details of the "casette" rainscreen are discussed,
from panel fabrication to assembly, erection, dimensional and mechanical
strength problems.
A comparision
between all different rainscreen materials and designs has been
presented at the 1997 lcbest conference on Building Envelopes, and
copies are available on
request.
The
Mirasystem "A" Handbook contains detialed information
about how Mirawall can be blanked, cut, scored and folded with the
simplest tooling and machinery.
